weekend reflections

Now this is what I'd call a MULTI-plex!
When I get around to seeing Avatar
(in 3-D!), this theater on 42nd Street
is probably where I'll go.

mosaic monday

Went to Coney Island this weekend—
no big crowds, but plenty of seagulls!

weekend reflections

I just love to watch the glassblowers
on Murano do what they do!

mosaic monday

My colleague and I decorated the bulletin board in
our office for Valentine's Day. The silver wrapper
bottom left says "Remember your first crush"—and
that's mine, circa 1960-something.

monochrome weekend

Here's someone we all look up to
(or, in this case, at). It's Presidents'
Day tomorrow, so Happy
Birthday, George.

weekend reflections

I need something to take my mind off all
the snow we've had lately. This might do it:
It's the replica of the temple of Asclepius in
the Villa Borghese gardens, in Rome.

mosaic monday

The snow missed us here in NYC this time,
but I hear we may get slammed later this
week. To be honest, it doesn't really affect
me that much, since my commute to work
is completely underground. And the city
looks so pretty—for a few hours, at least.
On the other hand, Mary is thinking of
spring—check out her mosaic (and
others) here.

weekend reflections

Here's Tom's, a Brooklyn institution since
the 1930s, where you can get the best
breakfast ever. There's usually a line out
the door, but they bring you hot coffee,
fresh fruit, and cookies while you wait.

mosaic monday

I think Mary of Mosaic Monday and her
friend Amanda are both very talented
photographers (check out their lovely
photo-a-day project here). Mary's mention
of Amanda's two beautiful daughters
inspired this mosaic of my own two
beautiful daughters—who are now
29 and 30—when did that happen?
