mosaic monday

The snow missed us here in NYC this time,
but I hear we may get slammed later this
week. To be honest, it doesn't really affect
me that much, since my commute to work
is completely underground. And the city
looks so pretty—for a few hours, at least.
On the other hand, Mary is thinking of
spring—check out her mosaic (and
others) here.

weekend reflections

Here's Tom's, a Brooklyn institution since
the 1930s, where you can get the best
breakfast ever. There's usually a line out
the door, but they bring you hot coffee,
fresh fruit, and cookies while you wait.

mosaic monday

I think Mary of Mosaic Monday and her
friend Amanda are both very talented
photographers (check out their lovely
photo-a-day project here). Mary's mention
of Amanda's two beautiful daughters
inspired this mosaic of my own two
beautiful daughters—who are now
29 and 30—when did that happen?

mosaic monday

Two new things to be grateful for this morning:
I don't have to go to work today, and I just
discovered this fun meme.

monochrome weekend

I love the wavy glass in this Paris
window—and I wish I was looking
through it right now!

weekend reflections

What my cousin (seen here) and I were faced
with the morning after her dinner party—
because she used her "good" china that can't
be put in the dishwasher. That's okay—a bit
of washing up was a small price to pay for
such a delicious and elegant meal.

The Pantheon, one of my
favorite places in Paris.
