The prompt for Week 52—self-portrait

I dislike pictures of myself as much as most
women I know (or at least those my age).
But I was given the very latest version of Photoshop just
the other day—I'm brand-new to it, but having tons
of fun playing around.  And I actually like this "posterized"
version of the thumbnail shot here on my blog.
(And I'd like to say thank you, Bella, for
a year of fun and creativity!)

While waiting to board a plane in Guayaquil, Ecuador,
most of the passengers were reading—or texting.
Not me—I was wandering around snapping
reflections. James's obsession is contagious!

Anyone who knows me knows that this is it.
I got a one-way ticket when I was still in 
my teens and spent (also misspent!) some
wonderful, memorable, formative years in Paris.
Took this shot the last time I was there, 
with my two grown daughters—who both
inherited the I-love-Paris gene.

I lost both of my cats last year, but I still
get to spend quality time with my cousin's kitty,
Frank, the world's most affectionate guy.
He started life as a barn cat, but charmed his way
onto the porch, then into the kitchen—and
now has his pick of any bed in the house!
