| The prompt for Week 7: powder blue I'm borrowing this photo from my peripatetic daughter Kate, who just spent two weeks in Alaska. In theory, I guess the sky should be "sky blue," but when I saw this photo, I thought, "There's your powder blue." BTW, that snow-capped peak at the far right? That's Mt. McKinley. {Thanks for letting me "borrow" your beautiful image, Katie!} [To see more of the 52 Photos Project, visit Bella's meme.] |

| The prompt for Week 7—crimson Not just red—crimson. The thing that most fits the bill in my house right now is a potted geranium that I rescued when we moved to a new office and its former owner was going to toss it. The shape of this reminds me of Audrey 2 in Little Shop of Horrors, but in fact it's a tiny little bud that I shot with my new iPhone macro lens. | Prompt for Week 7 -- Black and White These eggs caught my eye at the greenmarket. They're all different shades, from pure white to coffee brown, but you don't need to see that to appreciate their perfect ovoid shape. [To see more monochromes, or to play along yourself, visit Bella's meme.] |
