Weekend Reflections

This little guy (who's about 3 inches long) might
grow up to be more than 4 feet long and weigh over
600 pounds, and live to be 100 years old!  In the Galapagos,
giant sea tortoise eggs are collected and incubated.  Then the
hatchlings are hand-raised for 5 years, until their shell is
hard enough to protect them from predators.

  1. This is a great photo and a perfect post for Weekend Reflections!

  2. The reflection is so graphical ! Nice idea indeed.

  3. Very neat shot! I've never seen such a small tortoise.
