I'm standing on the Ponte di San Rocco, over the rio de la Frescada.
That's the Ponte della Scuola—and the white building is the
Scuola Grande di San Rocco (filled with fabulous works by Tintoretto).
[See more bridges here, chez Louis la Vache]
J'adore these old buildings and the canals with the color-coordinated laundry out to dry. The little boat, the classic columns and tiled roofs complete this photo.
I would love to see a whole collection of Tintoretto (while listening to Scarlatti, Albinoni, and Vivaldi). Enjoy it all, ma chère amie!
This was really a beautiful picture. Makes me want to go there.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice sunday.
Berit.
I love the juxtaposition of the modern day clothesline over the old bridge. Great shot!
