True Colours Thursday — Green

My green things: grasses at the Greenmarket,
my brother Chris on drums, some NYC cops
on duty, and lotus flowers and pods at the
Brooklyn Botanic Gardens' water lily pond.

I always heard that "God is in the details,"
and I'm sure the masons and sculptors
and artisans who created the Sainte
Chapelle believed it as they covered
every square centimeter with beauty.

Wanted to keep this to four photos,
and had a hard time choosing just
four. But here they are: a pink house
(with matching laundry) on the island
of Burano, near Venice; cherry blossoms
in full bloom at the Brooklyn Botanic
Garden; my mom's amazing 56-year-old
azalea bushes; and my darling little friend
Mary enjoying her 1st birthday cake.
