Weekend Reflections

The Chelsea Piers (that's the golf driving range within 
all that netting) is one of the good things about my 
old neighborhood (again, they were clearly just waiting 
for the former hippie to leave so they could yuppify).  :~}

What's outside the window?

Italy!  This is the harbor in Vernazza—and that's Monterosso al Mare,
the northernmost town of the Cinque Terre, off in the distance.

Welcome to the rose garden at the Brooklyn Botanic—
where thousands of blooms have unfolded.  I just
loved this perfect purpley-pink one.

Weekend Reflections

Lots of things are reflected in the BBG's water-lily
pond (do you see the bride and groom?). I think
it's curious that you can't see the clouds in the
sky but you can see them in the pond.
