Monday Doorways

The doorway is monumental and the Swiss Guards
are colorful as always—but the thing I love best
here is the gorgeous verdigris color of this door.

Mosaic Monday

Haven't been to this wonderful meme in a while.  But I wanted to
share these images of the precious putti I found on a recent trip
to Rome.  (These were all in the Vatican Museum, where—hallelujah—
you are welcome to take all the photos you want.)
