Weekend Reflections

This is one of my fave NYC museums,
at Snug Harbor, on Staten Island.  It's a
bit of a trek to get to—but it's worth
going out of your way to visit—and you do
get to ride the Staten Island Ferry.

52 Photos Project

The prompt this week: outside the lines.

I've learned to follow this rule: Always go for the picture
even
(or maybe especially) when you're not at all sure it will work.
I've gotten some of my favorite shots this way, like this
one of the spires of lower Manhattan—taken at night from the
Staten Island Ferry as it bobbed up and down in choppy waters.

Weekend Reflections

Not so easy to get a clear picture at
night from a moving boat—but I
figured it was worth a shot! We were
coming up to the Staten Island Ferry
terminal at the tip of Manhattan.
