Sunday Bridges

It's the Queensboro, aka Ed Koch, aka 59th Street
(feelin' groovy) Bridge. Heard a story once about
a guy who was walking under this bridge and
started whistling that song. Then he heard someone
behind him whistling it too—so he turned around
and saw that it was Paul Simon!  I love that
story, even though it's probably an urban legend.

59th Street Bridge

aka the Queensborough Bridge—it's the entry point into Manhattan
for the NYC Marathon runners.  They're talking about renaming it for
former mayor Ed Koch.  Sorry—I love you, Ed, but we all know
everyone's gonna keep on calling it the 59th Street Bridge
(ba-da-da-da-da-da-da, feelin' groovy).
