The prompt for Week 17: recycled/repurposed Part of a big El Anatsui exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum last year, this is called "Drainpipe" and was specifically tailored to the space it occupied (as it is wherever it's installed). These are tin-can lids strung together with copper wire. (There was another huge work there that Anatsui made using bottle caps.) Beats adding at all to the landfill, doesn't it? Love it. My daughter did her masters project based upon El Anatusui!
