| The prompt for Week 14: "stairs" My favorite time of year in my Brooklyn brownstone neighborhood is probably spring—specifically, those few weeks when the flowering trees burst into bloom— then leave their blossoms absolutely everywhere. Spring has Sprung!
| I walked past this place last week and I'm pretty sure none of these flowers were there —could they really have popped up so quickly? [To see more weekend reflections, visit James's meme.] |

52 Photos Project
| The prompt this week: Spring Is On! What beauty have you found outside your door? My Brooklyn apartment building doesn't have a very large garden, but we do have one of these beauties at each corner. And when they bloom (as they are right now, a bit early this year), they make me very happy! [To see more of the 52 Photos project, visit Bella's meme.] |

Mosaic Monday

Walked around the Brooklyn Botanic
Garden two weeks ago and only the
crocus and the Chinese witch hazel
were in bloom. Took a quick stroll
through there on Saturday and
found all this and more flowering
in a brilliant burst of color! Within
a few days the garden's famous
cherry blossoms will be in full
bloom too—can't wait.
[To see more mosaics, head here to
Mary's lovely Little Red House.]
