Weekend Reflections

Just visited friends who recently renovated
an old farmhouse—part of a property that
has a name rather than a street number.
It's not a fancy house, but everywhere you
look there's something beautiful to see.

52 Photos Project

The prompt this week: Color With Emotion
—the colors we surround ourselves with, the colors we
use in our house, in our art, the colors of our everyday.

Just looking at this photo makes me feel peaceful.
I kept these lily-of-the-valley (my fave)

long after their time because I actually love
their pale hue, especially combined here with the
subtle patina of old silver.  And that lightest shade
of aqua in the background?  I've painted two
ceilings in my place that very color.

Weekend Reflections

This shot combines two of my favorite
things: books and old silver.  What
are some of your faves?

Weekend Reflections

One of those things that just give me
pleasure—beautifully polished silver.
No, it's not mine; it belongs to my
cousin with the impeccable taste.

True Colours Thursday — Silver

Here are my offerings for today's color —
My favorite "silver" edifice in NYC, the
Chrysler Building, beautiful shiny fish
at the market in Venice, a favorite
Christmas ornament (unfortunately not
mine), and, finally, something that actually
IS silver.
