The prompt for Week 8: "In flight"

I caught these fishing buddies (well, actually, they
were probably rivals after the same fish) looking for
lunch in the Galapagos.  The pelican had just
missed a catch and was taking off again to give it
another try.  The frigate bird was looking for his own
catch or one he could steal from another bird
(because they do that all the time).

The prompt for Week 8—stripes

I found these in the Andean market town
of Otavalo. I wanted to get some of this colorful
striped fabric but couldn't decide and didn't buy any.
I now know which I want—if I ever get back to Ecuador!

Prompt for Week 8: shadows

I caught this brief non-encounter in
Grand Central Terminal.  You might almost
think that they (and their shadows) are the
only two people in this huge terminal—which
is what I like about this shot, because
they most definitely were not!
