The prompt for Week 14—Down below This is the intersection of 8th Avenue and 56th Street as seen from the 32nd floor of the Hearst Bldg. When I worked here, some of the staff never came anywhere near our vertigo-inducing, outward-leaning, floor-to-ceiling windows—and at least one couldn't get enough of them. 52 Photos Project
The prompt this week: What inspires you? Wow—had to think about this one. With my camera in hand, I'm always inspired by Paris, or Venice, or Rome. But I'm trying hard to find inspiration in my own hometown—and especially to see it through fresh eyes. This is not a brand new photo, but it is a very good example of what I mean: Midtown West and the Hudson River, seen through a 32nd-floor broken window.
