The prompt for Week 49: "pastel colors"

At the Ladurée shop in Manhattan:
picking out an assortment of
yummy macarons in pretty pastel colors.
The flavor of the pink ones is rose—
delicious, but I only ever choose my fave,
caramel au fleur de sel.

The prompt for Week 48—"empty space"

I'm a fortunate woman—who got to sail
around the Galapagos a couple of
years ago.  The first night out, I woke up
around 3 a.m. and went up to the bow of the boat.
Nothing but moonlight on the Pacific
as far as the eye could see.

The prompt for Week 47—"liquid"

. . . or at least what's left of the water, wine,
and coffee that were enjoyed with lunch at
Circonstances, a great Paris restaurant.

The prompt for Week 46—"gold"

All that glitters . . . may be the chandeliers
and the gilded ceiling of the Metropolitan Opera,
at Lincoln Center in New York.

The prompt for Week 45:  "one woman I love"

There are lots of wonderful women in
my life,
but if I could only feature one of them
the "winner" would have to be my mother—
and . . . today is her 95th birthday!

The prompt for Week 44: "across the street"

In this case, I was standing on the south side
of Houston Street and looking across
the lanes of traffic at Lady Aiko's mural on the
Bowery and Houston Street Art Wall.
Other murals have been here since and the wall was
taken down altogether in July because a
building is going up—but supposedly it will be
 back
when the building is completed.  Hope so.
Artists (including Keith Haring) have been livening
up this corner of Manhattan for 30 years.

52 Photos Project

The prompt for Week 43—'black & white"

As you can see, my fellow Brooklynites know
the importance of traction when you're
trying to get around in snow and ice.
