This past September when I was in Paris, 
I went up to Montmartre and shot this vertiginous
view from the top of the rue Drevet stairs.

Very fitting!  On Friday, I am on my way
to Paris, where I'm joining a couple of fellow
bloggers for a week of fun and photography
—and wine and macarons and partying with some
Parisian pals—in my old stomping grounds.

The prompt for Week 30: illuminate

Madame G didn't mention moonlight in
her prompt, but this was the photo I thought
of immediately.  I took it recently, when I was
in the Galapagos.  Woke up at 4 A.M. on our
first night out, went to the bow of the boat
in my jammies, and snapped this picture of a
full moon so bright you could read by it.
